Defendants accused for Membership of Criminal Underworld, Communicating with so called “thief in law “ and Participation in “Criminal Gathering“ have been sentenced to 8 years in prison

Based on the evidence submitted by the Prosecutor's Office, the defendants accused for supporting “criminal underworld“ and communicating with so called “thief in law” and participation in “criminal gathering“ have been sentenced to 8 years in prison. 
Evidences investigated during trial confirmed that G.G, to solve the financial dispute with the E.K.,  Through Z.B. and T.D., contacted to "Criminal Authority" G.D. G.D.,in agreement with the "thief in law" who is abroad, in May 2018, at the "thievery meeting" held in Tbilisi, the dispute was discussed and decided in favor of G.G. E.K. was imposed to pay the money to him,  G.G. and to other members of Criminal Underworld for the purpose of receiving material benefits and to accomplish the goals of the criminal underworld.
E.K., who was discontented with the decision of G.D., contacted to the "thief in law" J.K., who is also abroad, in order to make his influence on the decision using his criminal authority and change it in favor of E.K. To settle this dispute, so called “thief in law” J.K. summoned the litigant parties, to take part in “Criminal Gathering” in Turkey.
On 16 June 2018, “Criminal Gathering” was held in Turkey, in which E.K., G.G., G.D, and T.D participated, when the dispute was settled by so called “thief in law” J.K., in favor of G.G. and E.K. was imposed to pay the money “thief in laws”, G.G. and to other members of Criminal Underworld participating in this dispute, for the purpose of receiving material benefits. 
On 25 October 2018 Law enforcement Bodies detained G.G., Z.B., T.D. and G.D as a defendants.
G.D. was accused under Article 223’ §1 and 223’’ of Criminal Code of Georgia; Z.B. was accused under Article 223’ §1 of Criminal Code of Georgia; T.D. was accused under Article 223’ §1 and 223’ of Criminal Code of Georgia; E.K. was accused under Article 223’’ and 223’’’’ §1 of Criminal Code of Georgia; G.G. was accused 223’’ and 223’’’’ §1 of Criminal Code of Georgia and were sentenced to imprisonment as a measure of constraint.
Tbilisi City Court found the defendants guilty in presented charges and were sentenced to 8 years in prison.
